Cuando hablamos de los artículos en inglés estos se dividen en dos categorías: artículo definido: «the» y artículos indefinidos: «a» y «an». Los artículos en inglés no tienen género ni cantidad; mientras que en español tenemos el, la, los y las, en inglés solamente existe «the«. Lo mismo ocurre con los artículos indefinidos en español un, unos, una, unas, cuya equivalencia es la de «a» (cuando la palabra que antecede al artículo empiezan con consonante) y «an» (cuando la palabra que antecede empieza con vocal).
